KTM 690 Duke from scratch, the BT Moto way!
We have studied the KTM engines and software for a while, looking for changes, additional power and features customers would desire. We wanted to have an OEM+ solution. In other words, no piggybacks, no add-ons, no deletion of unnecessary items and something that’s able to revert back to stock quickly for resale; or if a customer changes their mind. Everything currently on the market was too arduous with no going back to stock in a quick manner.
OUR GOALS
- More horsepower and torque +10whp in some cases over the curve
- Plug and play mapping for popular, proven modifications
- NO-FLUFF! No wires, no piggybacks, no plates, no resistors
- Cooler engine temps
- Better throttle response
- Injector cutoff - Stock deceleration is too aggressive
- Extra rev - range for longer acceleration and less shifts for the track / canyon focused
- Factory fit and finish, OEM+
- Completely plug-and-play and customized for any mod combination
The KTM 690 in stock format is heavily restricted. With just a flash, you can gain over 10% more power, along with an extended RPM limiter. This is like having a new bike. (See dyno tab)
STAGE 1 FLASH FEATURES
- Transformed rideability through alpha-n fuel maps in each mode
- Ignition optimized
- Throttle optimized and de-restricted depending on sw version.
- RPM limiter adjusted extended
- Throttle transitions / tip-in smoothed and less jerky
- Mapping available for different modifications available on the market
Dyno Testing

Stock 2023 KTM 690 vs BT Moto Stage 1
Gains are huge and across the entire RPM band. Looking at the numbers themselves isn't impressive with a peak gain of 9whp. Though 9whp is an over 12% gain in power, which is HUGE, and across the entire RPM range. The extended RPM limiter helps sustain a wider powerband without sacrificing any reliability.
